Al Ba'ath Choir

In such a small building in a humble neighborhood in shafa-Amr, young men and women gathered to bring on an old dream come true. In 1986, this idea became matured and was accomplished.

The choir started to choose and sing old & new songs.

Hopes flourished and this choir became to be one of the cultural basis in the city of Shafa-Amr. The choir picked songs of deep thoughts and great music.

Fairuz, Zakaria Ahmad & sayed Darweesh were chosen their song were adapted for choir songs, thus the word made music to rise with these voices to a higher goal within this kind of art.

It took a long time of determination and persistence.

The choir carried on to flourish in its country,  and later in Italy,  Austria, Germany and France where too many successful performances were given. As well it experienced a uniqe performance, where the "group" sang in parallel to the "single" in "Hissa",  a play written and produced by the artist Radi Shehadeh.

During 2008 "Ishtaktelak" ( I long for you) was accomplished and performed. The performance followed Fairuz's musical journey. It was successful and highly rated.

The choir still looking forward for other performances to be offered for a public who demands original and modern releases.
